Report branding & theme settings

Emma applies your organisation's branding to every report preview and every Word / PDF export. You configure it once in Settings → Organisation → Report, and it shows up everywhere.

Where to find it

Settings → OrganisationReport.

You need organisation-admin rights to make changes.

What you can customise

Area

What it affects

Logo

The top-left of the cover page and page headers in preview and export.

Font family

The entire report body — headings, paragraphs, table cells. Preview + Word export honour this.

Risk colours

The three severity colours (High / Medium / Low) used in badges, bars, the donut chart, and the risk-level table borders.

Table styles

Header background colour, header text colour, table border colour.

Background colour

The report's page background in preview and export.

Footer text

Optional footer text shown at the bottom of every page in preview and export.

Logo

Upload any PNG, JPG, or SVG. Emma preserves the original aspect ratio, scaling it down to fit the cover and header areas.

  • If you don't upload a logo, Emma uses its default logo as a placeholder so you can see how the layout renders.

  • The uploaded logo is stored in S3 and served via a signed URL, it is never exposed publicly.

Tip: a logo ~400 × 120 px (landscape) works best for the cover. Square logos work fine in the header.

Font family

Two categories:

System fonts

Always available, zero-risk of rendering issues:

  • Arial

  • Times New Roman

  • Calibri

  • Georgia

  • Helvetica

  • Trebuchet MS

Cloud Fonts

Type any Cloud Font name, Inter, Lora, Playfair Display, Montserrat, Source Sans Pro, etc. Then click Apply.

The font is:

  • Loaded for live preview in-app

  • Embedded directly inside the .docx when you export, so Word users on any machine see the correct font (even if they haven't installed it locally)

  • Referenced by name in the PDF, see PDF note below

Recommended fonts that embed cleanly and have a full weight range:

  • Inter: clean sans-serif, modern

  • Lora: serif, works for legal reports

  • Playfair Display: elegant serif, nice for covers

  • Source Sans Pro: neutral sans-serif

  • Roboto / Open Sans: safe, widely tested

  • Montserrat: geometric sans-serif

Risk colours

Pick three hex colours for High / Medium / Low. These cascade to:

  • Risk badges (everywhere)

  • Donut chart segments

  • Risk bars

  • Left borders on risk-level table rows in the report and export

Choose colours with enough contrast to read on the background: Emma auto-computes a lighter version of each for badge fills.

Table styles

Three pickers:

  • Table header background: default light grey, appears as the header row for Risk tables and Document-Level Recommendation tables.

  • Table header text colour: the text colour of those header rows.

  • Table border colour: the grid colour used in all tables.

Background & footer

  • Background colour: the page background used both in preview and export. Default is white.

  • Footer text: optional. Common uses: "Confidential — prepared for [client name]". Shown centred in the page footer.

Preview & save

As you change settings, the preview panel updates live to show how the report will look. When you're happy, hit Save. Changes apply immediately to:

  • The Report page for your whole organisation

  • Any new Word / PDF exports

Existing previously-downloaded exports are not retroactively changed.

  • The Report (reviewing and editing findings, filtering, preview, export).
