The General settings page for a data room allows you to rename the room and manage which playbook is applied. To access these settings, go to Settings > M&A data rooms, select a data room, and open the General tab.
Renaming a data room
Type a new name in the M&A data room name field and click Save. The updated name appears throughout Emma—including navigation, reports, and member lists.
Playbook
A playbook defines the document types, checks, and key terms used for structuring due diligence in this data room. The Playbook section displays the name of the currently applied playbook. If no playbook is applied, it will display "No playbook applied."
Changing the playbook
Click Change in the Playbook section to open the playbook picker. Then select a different playbook from your library.
Important: When you change the playbook, all current document types, key terms, and checks are replaced according to the new playbook's configuration. Existing documents are recategorized to fit the new playbook. This action cannot be undone.
Document type completion in overview
The completion statuses of document types now appear accurately in the data room overview. When you mark a document type as complete or incomplete in the Issue Review List (IRL), the document type completion summary in the data room overview updates in real-time. You do not need to refresh the page or wait for a full progress recalculation. This provides immediate and reliable tracking of your due diligence progress for all document types.
Managing playbooks
Playbooks are created and maintained in Settings > Organization settings > Playbooks. For guidance on creating and editing playbooks, see Playbooks.
