Besides the many integrations with Virtual Data Rooms and document sharing tools like Box, Dropbox, and OneDrive, the Emma workspace also supports manually uploading documents.
More ways to add documents
It's now easier to discover and start a manual upload, with several entry points throughout the workspace:
Sidebar: There is a new Add documents button at the bottom of the source folder sidebar. This button is always available and opens the upload dialog so you can select files to add to the workspace.
Empty folder view: When you open a folder that does not contain files, you will now see an Add documents button alongside the empty state message. This makes it faster to add your first documents to new folders.
Dropdown menu: You can also find the Add documents option in the document browser's dropdown menu (opened from the more actions icon ⋮ in the browser toolbar).
Each of these options opens a streamlined dialog that walks you through the manual upload process, making it quicker and more consistent to add new documents.
Note: If your files are stored in folders linked to document sharing tools like Box, Dropbox, or OneDrive, do not use manual upload; use Emma's custom integrations instead. Document sharing tools often don't save full copies locally, which means Emma won't be able to access all necessary files.
