The Documents page is your main hub for reviewing all documents in your data room. To open it, click Documents in the main sidebar. It has two views — IRL and Folder — switchable with the toggle at the top. This article covers the IRL (Information Request List) view.
What is the IRL view?
The IRL (Information Request List) view organizes your documents by document type and area, following the structure of your IRL. This helps you track which document types have been provided, which are missing, and review your progress across all topics in scope.
The document type sidebar
The left sidebar displays all IRL areas. Each area is collapsible and contains the document types it includes.
At the top of the sidebar, you'll find the Unclassified section displaying documents the AI couldn't assign to a document type automatically. Review these for proper classification to keep your IRL accurate.
Each document type shows summary badges:
In scope / Out of scope — if the document type is in the current due diligence scope
GAP status — if it's marked as complete or incomplete
Document count — number of files assigned to this type
Use the Filters button to show only certain document types or statuses. For details, see Filtering documents.
Selecting a document type
Click a document type to open its detail view in the main pane. Here you will see four tabs:
Documents — all files assigned to this type, each row showing the file name, categorization status, jurisdiction, review status, and any warnings. Select multiple files for bulk actions like review, reclassify, or delete.
Key Terms — AI-extracted terms for this type. Add, edit, reorder, or generate with AI. See Key terms for details.
Matrix — a focused view of the full Matrix, scoped to this document type. For details, see Matrix.
Key Issues — a summary table of significant findings across all documents of this type, showing file, indicated risks, reviewers, summaries, and recommendations.
Selecting an area
Click an area name (without expanding) to open the area overview table. This table lists all document types in that area with columns for:
Gap Analysis — complete, incomplete, or out of scope
Reviewed — percentage reviewed
Risks — a bar visualizing risk levels in the area
Clicking a row drills into a particular document type. Click the risks bar to open the Matrix tab for that type.
At the top of the area overview, use the Manage area dropdown to edit the area name, assign reviewers to the whole area, or delete the area (when it has no document types left to move).
Managing your IRL
Open the Manage IRL menu from the ⋯ (three dots) button in the toolbar above the sidebar. Hover the button to see the Manage IRL tooltip. From the menu you can:
Create a new document type or area
Import an IRL from another data room
Export your IRL to Excel
When viewing a document type, use the Manage document type dropdown in the header to edit the type, assign reviewers, mark it in or out of scope, update gap (complete/incomplete) status, or delete the type.

Bulk actions
You can select multiple document types in the sidebar for bulk actions: add/remove from IRL, move to a different area, mark GAP status complete/incomplete, or update review status for all documents assigned to those types.
